Not everybody reads every post. Or are we supposed to research before posting? Title: Re: EBR out of business Post by: koko64 on April 18, 2015, 11:52:25 AM "Destroyed the 1199 by a whole half second per lap?" +1 Maybe. Depends on what track and whos riding. Didnt sound like an independant report to me. Without rider aides most people are slower with high hp. Title: Re: EBR out of business Post by: brad black on April 18, 2015, 02:24:44 PM All of them? ??? buell was owned by harley who made a decision to shut it down, nothing to do with eric personally. i'm not aware of other failures? Title: Re: EBR out of business Post by: koko64 on April 18, 2015, 02:39:45 PM Yep Harley ditched 'em big time.
There was a thread somewhere showing Buells thrown into rubbish skips after Harley pulled the pin. Harley is an extremely corporate/political company. If they shut anyone down (whomever) it IS political. They don't operate the way a "normal" (i.e. profit driven) company would operate. (Much like GM or Fanny or Freddy, or... are you unaware..?) That aside, Mr. Buell, through fault of his own -or not- is batting 1000, yes? ..? Don't go gettin' all sensitive on me... :-*Too old to keep up. ;D BTW EBR is still racing in SBK as of the Assen meet and the team and Pegram say they'll complete the season. http://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2015/Team+Hero+EBR+statement+following+EBR+closure (http://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2015/Team+Hero+EBR+statement+following+EBR+closure) Time will tell. Title: Re: EBR out of business Post by: Jonathan on April 19, 2015, 01:37:33 PM It's takes amazingly deep pockets to manufacture any motor vehicle. Ducati has those deep pockets. EBR was perpetually under capitalized.
