Is it reasonably easy to fit a 620ie motor from a 2002 SS into the frame of a '97 M600?
I can see the clucth slave is on the other side and maybe the throttle body maybe an issue other than that what else do I need to consider?
Also, will the front end of the SS transplant over? I wouldn't mind converting the M600 to dual front brakes!
Cheers in advance [thumbsup]
I believe the frame engine mount bolts are 10mm for the 97 and 12mm for the 2002, so you'd need a sleeve inside the new engine.

This and if you have the forks, they might be "a slight upgrade" but not much . . . According to Ducati OEM parts catalog, front end is NOT compatible, but, you could check out triples from our sponsors . . . And find a used set of Showa forks if you want a better front end
Cool thank you so much guys [thumbsup]
is this the 600 with the rhs or lhs clutch slave?

The 620 heads will bolt on If you don't want to swap the engine.
If you plan on keeping the fuel injection (I would lean this way), the horizontal frame tube between the left & right sides of the frame (the one that mounts the back of the air/battery box) needs to get swapped to one with a bow in it to clear the horizontal throttle body. So, some cutting/welding there.
Front end? The SS forks are a LOT longer than the Monster units. Check measurements.
EFI would require a different tank & fuel pump & such.
