Title: S4RS Stator
Post by: sgduc on June 10, 2015, 07:13:31 AM
Good day all
Just found out my stator is fried  :( and i'm looking for a new replacement.
i found this site that specializes in motorcycle electrical systems.
http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/ (http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/)

Does anyone have experience with this site?

Is it necessary to replace the rectifier together?

Not familiar with those folks.  No it is not necessary to replace both.  Problem is there is no way to performance test the rectifier/regulator on your bike if the stator is bad.

Ordered a stator from http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/ (http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/) and received it via international shipping in 10 days. Bad news is i found out the rectifier is also fried after installing the new stator. Replaced the rectifier afterwards and now the charging works perfectly. i'm getting >14 volts when revving.

Hopefully this one can last.
