Title: Liqui Moly motor oil
Post by: sgduc on June 17, 2015, 06:55:04 PM
Pardon me if this is an old question. Has anyone tried Liqui Moly oil before? Can anyone share their experience or feedback?

Bling. Your money, spend it however you want.
But seriously, will it run better? Last longer? Improve anything?

Is that the clear additive or the black coloured one?
I used a local brand (Nulon) with no issues, and it seemed to work in as far as the idle speed increased by 100 rpm causing me to readjust it. I interpreted that as less friction. I tried the Liquid Moly brand (in a can), I think it was a German/Euro brand. Soon after using it (about a month), I had issues with my ignition pick ups failing. Upon removing them I noticed that the pick ups had cooked on additive on the pick up face. It was a hard coating, bonded to the metal. Maybe a coincidence, but did the additive "blind" the pick ups? It sure looked like it, but I cant 100% say for sure.
I just stick to good oil now.
