Title: Tires
Post by: NAKID on June 18, 2015, 03:26:20 PM
I will be needing new tires soon. I've been running the Pilot Road 2s for the last couple of tire changes. Despite the 3, and now the 4 being out, I don't see the price dropping on the 2. Does anyone know of a decent source? The prices I've seen have been all over the board. Anywhere from 180-210 for the same size (180/55/17).

I think it's hit or miss on prices.

Motorcycle Superstore has them for $159.99 right now with free shipping.

Jake Wilson is my go-to for cheap tires.

Thanks! Cheapest I've been able to find them.

Still don't understand how a Power 3 is cheaper than a Road 2...

Because they sell x times as many.

I prefer Bridgestones but when I ran Michelin I always got 'em from Derby Cycles

I guess that makes sense. It just seems odd to me that their higher tier tire would be less expensive...

Nice, but JJJ's recommendation is still cheaper, $3 on the front, $11 on the rear...

It's only higher tier if you're a sport rider.

Many people run Roads on the track...they're not a 'lesser' tire.
