Title: Spacers for 749 fork offset Post by: DownwtheQuickness on June 20, 2015, 06:20:02 PM Does anyone know a good place/part for correcting the +5mm offset of 749 forks on my 2000 750? That was a minor oversight in my SBK fork swap, and the only thing I can find is a brembo kit of 4 bolts and 4 spacers costing $40. Since I only want two spacers for my single caliper, $40 seems a little much, and the local hardware stores don't have anything like that to fit an M10 bolt.
I need two of THESE v ... And yoyodyne is out of stock... Then you need brake rotor spacers or 15 offset 6 bolt rotors (2002 748r)
If you are trying to go with 15mm offset rotors with 10mm offset forks the you need those 4 bolt spacers and longer bolts. Title: Re: Spacers for 749 fork offset Post by: DownwtheQuickness on June 20, 2015, 09:35:13 PM I guess I said that backwards. I'm not exactly sure how offset is defined, but I need the caliper to be 5mm closer to the wheel in order to center it over the rotor. The spacers would necessitate longer bolts, I guess. I was mostly just hoping to avoid buying all four of each since my bike has single front brakes, and thus can only use two.
Does anyone know where I can buy these as sets of two instead of sets of four? Title: Re: Post by: Raux on June 21, 2015, 05:22:00 AM Hardware store
