Can someone tell me the definitive answer if any of the ST center stands will work on a 2002+ era Ducati Monster? I have read some will work, I have read they won't. I saw a guy selling one and he specifically said he bought it to put on a monster and it didn't fit.
I gather there was a DP item but I am asking specifically about an ST take off because 13 year old DP parts might as well never existed.
Depends on your Monster, but an ST2 center stand should work.
Both attach to the engine case and in some models the engine cases are the same. I have an 01 M900Sie and I researched this once and it was verified by an owner with the same bike as mine that he had successfully installed a center stand off a wrecked ST2 on his bike. Mounting hardware should still be available, check with Omaha Ducati's online site and get the part numbers and call them for availability.
I've got an ST center stand on my '98 M750.
They should fit all Monsters, excluding S*R due to the exhaust, and excluding most M696, 796, 821, 1100, 1200 due to exhaust and/or the new crankcases.
AFAIK, some of the M696 and later still had the three mounts on the cases, so perhaps they would fit.
Exhausts are the killer issue
