Good ole' PhilB! Never met him in person, but he is quite a legend.
Meh......
That is only 200,000 more than I have and he has had his bike about 16 years longer. If he doesn't ride today I'll be 10's of miles closer to him. Saddle up "Phil" I am coming......
Seriously, that is very impressive!
Mark
His tank is signed by Galluzzi !
This is one of the examples I point out when people ask if Ducatis are reliable. [thumbsup]
mine only has 16 000miles and it's 10yrs old :-\
Amazing.
Mine after 10 years of ownership (2004 620M - 57K miles) is running like shit now. Considering having her engine rebuilt.
I'm going to kick you in the nuts Joel. :-*
And tin foil.
Geez, I think I can remember when it turned 200k. . .

Yes. I've met him twice. One of the nicest people... I'm sure Ducati will do something for him when (if) he hits 500K or some other insane milestone. I remember him saying his daughter was trying to 'help' and dropped some sort of bolt or washer into 1 of the mufflers. It's still in there... [thumbsup]
388,000 kms! [thumbsup]. Sounds even better.
Ducati should do something for him at 500,000 kms being a metric company an all.
[thumbsup] I think of Phil every time I see a clean late 90s or early 2000s Monster show up on craigslist and I toy with the idea of buying it.
I met him once overheated on RT3 around Chelmsford, MA. Stopped to see if he needed a hand.

Privateer will surpass that at the rate he's going [thumbsup]..... and if his Monster will hold up that long.
Mine is 9 years old and has 68000 miles, bought her new as well ! Hopefully mine will last that long also..

He is probably out riding :-)
I have seen his bike many time at the Larz Anderson Museum Italian bike shows. It looks like it has those miles on as well ;-)
he was in Ohio for a little while. I met him a few times when he came around the Desmohio group and went to some races with us. Pretty wacky guy. You'd have to be. I have a feeling he gets asked the same questions a lot. Apparently the motor settled in after 30-50k miles, valves didn't need adjustment nearly as often after that.
