Title: sprag clutch
Post by: ducatigirl100 on August 11, 2015, 04:57:56 PM
Hi  :)

I'm curently working on a 2007 s4r that as a sprag bearing problem and it need to be replace
[coffee]

Usually I order the part number 58440026000 from a KTM  Lc4.... this bearing is fairly common ...it's also used by BMW on the Gs650...

The KTM part is way cheaper than the ducati EOM part 120$ vs 240$

But on the s4r it's a 3 phase bearing part number 70140071a   I was  wandering if there was a cheaper part  than the EOM ducati one or if the sprag bering from older monsters would work ?

At the least, sprag bearings are different between single-phase and three-phase.

I'm not aware of a less expensive 3-phase sprag, but certainly I'd like to know.
