I cant believe i watched all those episodes of Battlestar Galactica and it was just another x files with no direction and no ending.
Shows used to have endings to them. Even if they could be continued later on, they still had endings. I think nowdays the writers just write and have no clue about where the show is going. Real disapointed in B. G. >:(
No bacon in this post. >:( >:( >:(
I think the same about LOST. interesting at first, but you know they will drag that shit on and on and on. That is until the show loses it's ratings and it's talented writes leave because they are burned out, then they will finally come up with a shitty ending that just sucks. That's why I don't watch those shows.

you mean you're not gonna watch the final ~12 or so episodes that are supposed to air early next year?

lost is already planned to end in 2010.
This was supposed to be the last season. You mean there's more?!?
The season isn't technically over. I believe because of the writes strike they split the season into two parts. The second part is supposed to air in the next several months.
Yeah BSG has gotten a little bloated lately. I blame Ronald D "Kirkslayer" Moore. I'm too invested in it now though to give up on it.
My buddy maintains Helo should have been killed off two seasons ago and wrote it off after that...
I just want them to get to earth and quit screwing around.

I don't know. I think it's still pretty good. Sure, the first few episodes were slow, but it is the last season. I'm okay with all back storys and set-ups for the final few episodes instead of one-off's emotional upper cuts.
The whole realignment of "interest" and the mortality twists were great. [thumbsup]

They already did, dude. ;)
I can't wait to see how it wraps up. I'm just hoping it's not a let-down since I've loved the show since the start.....
The end of season 3 killed me. What's up with "All along the Watchtower" lyrics being used throughout the final. That was SO lame... [roll]
...but I'll watch season 4. <sigh> Too invested. I have to now.
Hooked on Lost too. I am trusting it will come to a definitive end in 2010 or whatever...
Very hooked on lost too!
But I think all along the watch tower will be put into the story....Think about what year they might be headed to earth in....maybe a little cheesy...but what if Galactica show's up to earth sometime "our" recent past...
I think that if they weren't going to tie the watch tower bit into the story, they would have used some other signal, some "melody" we've never heard. Why use something we all know if they aren't going to play off of it?
I think, MendoDave, you have to retract your statement until next year when they finish up the season. I just got my gf into BSG and she hates scifi in general. The show is one of the best on TV.
No im still kind of irritated. I have the DVR set to record all the BG shows and I havent seen any getting to earth shows yet. other than Starbuck allegedly having seen the earth I dont see the fleet being there or even part of the fleet being there. >:(
Nope...no one is there yet...but some of the cast has stated that most of the second half will be them on/around earth. So I think we'll see everyone (cylons and humans) get to earth within the first few eps of the second half. Then we'll find out that there are no more "real" humans left and that in reality the cylons keep creating new versions of themselves to kill of the old model. All real humans have been dead for thousands of years, the 12 colonies, all cylons. Just my guess.

Heh. Me, I liked that. I even like that version of "Watchtower", and have it on my iPod.

Maybe I'm living in a time warp, but didn't the last episode of the first half of the season end with them setting down on Earth and Adama picking up a handful of Earth Sand. Both Humans and Cylons looking around... Not going to give any more away for those who haven't seen it.
I agree that this is probably a cyclic thing and that the same thing happened previously on Earth.
Last I knew they were still jumping around on that crazy reserection ship, and they came back to pick up Adama who was floating in space. Then there were no more episodes...
After a couple of weeks and a few reruns coming on I was like Pffft! Whatever.
alright...take a look at this vid and see if it changes your mind:

Yes you are correct. I still think everyone should hold their opinion until seeing all the episodes. They end the first half of the season on a purpose to hook you for the last 10 or so. I think it'll be worth it.

Thats cool. It would be cooler if someone introduced them to a Ducati. ;D
Is the Korean (I think she was Korean) girl still there? I haven't watched BSG in forever.

Yes, and yes she's Korean. She's one reason to start again...

I can't read this post because I'm only up to episode 10 in series 4. The show is filming the last 10 episodes now, which will be out in 2009. [thumbsup]

Jan 16th is the day for the final 10 episodes to begin, and then I can be done with it.
Why they gotta make it sucky like that?
