What is the best way to detail a monster engine, especially the fins? Anyway to make the engine look factory fresh? Thanks.

Blast off the factory coating and put on new paint.

Ive litterally NEVER seen a clean ducati 2v motor that was clean and ridden unless it was blasted and repainted, or meticulously cared for.

the engine case paint is not the same as the fin paint. the engine paint on the new bikes are pretty durable actually, the old ones suck and used to get gooey from the heat and oil that eventually got on it from leaky heads or whatever  that got on it.

the side cover paint is also different, the new ones are better than the old, but still kinda shitty.
