I've picked up crashed 2013 M1100 & the dash is smashed! The bike came without keys so I have no idea how many kilometre are on the bike! Do I need a new dash to see the kilometres or is it possible to some how get the ECU read?
Cheers [thumbsup]
I suspect the mileage is stored in the dash.
Earlier Magneti Marelli hardware was that way, for sure.
YMMV ;D
newer bikes store it in the ecu/bbs/dash, either Melco/Siemens/MM

Yes, most dealers should have ALL from Mathessis to DDS2.0
How can you switch to dp ecu and mileage not resetting then? I think its in the dash

Hmm... good point.
Maybe data is backed-up: dash > ECU ?
Good point. I'll remember that.

MM ECU dash keeps info, Siemens ECU+Dash, Melco/Dash/ECU/BBS
I've come to a brick wall! [bang]
I've been to all the Ducati guys in my area none can read the ECU & some even claim the kilometres won't be on it anyway!
Is anyone here able to read it? I'm happy to pay return postage plus your fee for reading.
Cheers, Marty.
if dash is unreacheable then ecu wont be able to read the kms in it and translate the info to the diag equip

I have the dash but the screen it badly damaged and I'm guessing it would be in-readable to the eye
Could you post pic of dash, front and rear . . .

hmmmm . .. try getting another M1100EVO or just a M1100 and connect the dash and see what reads . . .
ECU is an Euro spec, so it already has some parameters set up differently that US/CAL spec . . .
I don't think the screen will show anything the liquid display looks totally buggered!
