Title: Mivv GP exhaust M900
Post by: monsterknut on September 16, 2015, 01:49:33 AM
My 94 M900 got hit in the rear by another bike and my low mount termis is now damaged . Waiting for insurance money , i have started looking for new exhaust . I think the high mount Mivv Gp cans looks great on a  monster with tailchop from the few pictures i have seen , but for M900 they are listed only for the 99-02 models ! For the 93-98 M900 only the Mivv Ovals are optional on the webshop sites ive seen . Have anyone here fitted the Mivv GP cans on the early M900 models ? Would like to know of possible clearing and fitting issues that can be a problem and your wievs on quality and performance  before i decide . Pictures of both the Mivv GP and Ovals on a 1 gen Monster would be great as well as other suggestions for a new exhaust solution [thumbsup]

'99 still had hoop suspension and for another year or two after that.

I think Motowheels still has on their site Spark round high mount. I have that set, very nice. My only complaint about them is the spacing from the cans to the frame. Hoop was rubbing and had to use longer bolts and push the cans out away from the frame a little bit more. Barely noticeable unless you saw before and after. .5-.75 was all it took if that. I'm under the assumption you're going to run into that with about any manufacturer. Just something to think about.

Most slip-ons for a DSS monster will fit any model of DSS monster. I'd wonder what's different. Guessing it's only some bracket thing.

My spark set came from Jeff, but he had such a hard time getting them for me he decided not to carry them anymore.
