Title: Stock Wheel Fitment
Post by: EEL on November 16, 2015, 01:56:04 PM
For a stock Monster 1100 Evo, what are other compatible OEM wheels I can buy?

Obvious choices are the M1100 DS wheels but what about:

1) Streetfighter 848?
2) Hypermotard (Old 2V and newer 4V)?
3) Superbike?

I'm looking for some replacement wheels that I can slap some slicks on for trackdays.

I'm looking at wheels but information on stock offsets for rotors that come with those wheels would help as well.

Lastly, if installation requires sanding or grinding of a rear caliper that would be beneficial as well.

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK:

All those wheels will fit.

The SF848 and old Hyper have the 10mm offset rotors, which should be the same as what you've got.
Easy way to check is sight along the sidewall of the tire, about half the thickness of the rotor will be visible.

SBK have the 15mm offset rotors, sighting along the sidewall you will see the whole rotor and a smidge of the carrier.

Dunno about caliper grinding, I think that's only required for some BST's.

YMMV.
