Parts are not available in the States.

There is a company in the UK called Powerhouse that sells caliper kits, but they don't list master kits.

Why?

We used to rebuild all kinds of hydraulic cylinders successfully until the lawyers decided we weren't competent.

Part of the issue is liability, part of the issue is with labor in many markets rebuilding many of these parts is not commercially viable.  A new coffin master with the clutch switch, maybe worth it at $185ish, no switch, $105ish, probably not.

Point taken, but I think the decision was mostly from a liability perspective because the rebuild parts disappeared long before labor rates became what they are.

Back in the early '80s a rebuild kit for the brake master on my '79 BMW was about $80.  A brand new one was about $110.

I was gonna say cost/time, but, howie answered before I did . . . Plus, is a good time to "upgrade"  . . .

In domestic situations you could buy a factory authorized rebuilt master for less than half of new.
