Title: PCV Firmware Issues
Post by: koko64 on March 06, 2016, 01:31:55 AM
Anybody heard of recent PCV firmware issues?

Im hearing about a glitch in the PCV units on some bikes due to what has been described as a firmware issue. I have seen the DJ site offering the latest firmware upgrades. I recently picked up another pre mapped PCV and it came with an invoice saying it has the latest firmware upgrade.
I have heard reports of this issue causing mid to high rpm hesitation/cut out for a second or so as the bike is revved through the rpm range.

Anyone come across this or understand the problem?

If you're concerned.... download and install the newest available firmware.

OTOH I wouldn't personally worry one iota about fixing an issue I have not yet actually encountered.

Those are words of wisdom from ungeheuer.   :)

But, thanks to this thread, I now have something new to worry about.......or not.  ;)

Yes you do not need to worry if you haven"t seen the symptoms. I have come across it. I"m too busy to be concerned about it otherwise. I was after info if anyone knew more.

Thanks for the pm Ung. Ung clarified my limited understanding.
