You can replace the first reason with Ducati. They both have the same stigma, but as the article stated, the 800 engine is very good and reliable. I do agree with the second reason. I'm lucky in that if I decided to buy one, I would probably get it from Melillimoto. Sebastian is a beast at servicing Ducs and MVs. Once I move to ATL I will also have easy access to the DucShop, which also services MVs. Before I even consider buying one, I would need to check if they also manage warranty work. Right now I would consider buying a Brutale over an 821. They're easier to work on than the Ducati's yet parts can be a bit more difficult to get a hold of.. Oh well, The things we do for love (of motorcycles)..
