Title: Picking up my first (smashified) monster
Post by: navypilot on March 31, 2016, 05:55:32 AM
Good day friends.  I just negotiated the (cheap) purchase of a 2012 696 today that I intend on modifying as a fun little side project. It was rear ended by a texting driver and I am the one who will bring her back to the streets.  I look forward to cruising the forums and learning from the experience of others.

Here's  the requested info:

Name: Nik
Location: Sunny Pensacola, FL
Bike(s) (if any):
12 696 ABS, 06 Paul Smart, 99 R1100R, ZZR 1200, 81 Virago (don't judge me), 75 R75/5, 71 Bonneville, 70 Commando
How long you've been riding: Since 2002
Anything else you'd like to share: Bikes, RVs, aircraft repeat.   :)

81 Virago (don't judge me),

I always liked the early '80's Viragos... my first bike was an '81 XS400 Special.

Make sure you take some photos along the way to fixing 'er up (the 696), we'd like to see it!
