Title: Lucy's in Celina on the 30th
Post by: Mhanis on April 25, 2016, 08:06:48 AM
My daughters birthday is this week so I am going to take her on a short ride to Lucy's on Saturday, late morning.

We'll ride up 75 to 455 then head West on 455 into Celina. I believe lovely wife and #1 will drive to the restaurant and we'll meet-up there.

All are welcome!

Mark

Thanks for the invite but I'll be doing hill-repeat training on Mt. Scott. I've got a century bike ride coming up with 11,000+ feet of climbing I'm training for.

Funny story; the first day I picked up the MTS, we went riding up in Celina and stopped by Lucy's for lunch. A guy in a cowboy hat and boots walks over to us and starts talking to us excitedly in broken English & Italian. He was so excited to see the Ducati outside and the AGV helmet on the table and was sure to let my girlfriend know I was very "macho" for my brand choices. Normally that place is chock-full o' Harley riders so it was pretty cool to have one of the locals get excited over a Ducati.

Just be aware... 455 just west of 75 is gravel at the moment for the first mile.  They are resurfacing or something... I'm not really sure, they've been at it for 3 weeks.  Not impassable, just a nuisance.

EDIT:  Hmmm... since I rode it... twice... does that make my bike a MultiMonster?

Thanks for the invitation but Alan's mom and sister are in town over the weekend so we're out.  Wish your daughter a happy b-day for us

And I'll second what Charlie98 said; a couple of weekends ago when you were with us on the Muenster Run, we turned around on eastbound 455 right before the road turned to completely nasty gravel.  Runs all the way from where we were to Hwy 75.  No worries for people who don't mind that sort of… lack of pavement... but I sure wasn't about to try it.

YRMV  ;D

I was on 455 a while back but had forgotten the just West of 75 it was chewed up, but it was only for a short bit and it won't stop us!

It's only about a mile, and it's pretty packed down.  Quite dusty, and the cars just rip along it making it worse.  When I was leaving Italian Villa last Friday, some moron actually passed 2 cars in a row.... even though they couldn't see through all the dust.  Crazy stuff.
