looks like they're starting to respond to the marketplace. I gravitate to them when I hit the HD dealer. I think it started with 'Then Came Bronson.'
Title: Re: new Harley Roadster Post by: Privateer on May 05, 2016, 07:38:23 AM i like the idea of better suspension and brakes.
i wish they could put it on a diet, tho. for $11k tho, i wonder if you could get a used sporty for $4-5k and get new triples, forks, wheels, brakes, bars, and come out less than $11k Title: Re: new Harley Roadster Post by: kopfjäger on May 05, 2016, 07:44:43 AM That would be the best route imho, and put this kit on it. 8)

Ryca is another one.
altho, finding a XR1200 would be even closer, altho they're kind of uncommon. 580 pounds.. curious if the suspension/brakes is different. Title: Re: new Harley Roadster Post by: kopfjäger on May 05, 2016, 02:14:43 PM This one appears to be setup pretty well.

I guess bigger wheels give the look and ground clearance.
Bloody nice. Nearly built one but got my first Monster back in the day. Title: Re: new Harley Roadster Post by: kopfjäger on May 05, 2016, 06:45:26 PM The Bronson bike. The show came out in 69, so it was probably a 68 (?). Shovelhead, kick start, right side shifter, and the tank logo was killer.

Also, like you said, they're very heavy. One of the more practical reasons I picked the Monster over it. If I had the funds/space/etc I'd like to own one, but I wouldnt give up my bike for it. Wonder if it's somewhat of a parts bin special though, probably knowing H-D. Those forks look suspiciously like the ones on my VRSCR..... I wanted an XR1200 to trick out a bit when they were new. Definitely a rarity. Title: Re: new Harley Roadster Post by: Duck-Stew on May 17, 2016, 05:22:22 AM This one appears to be setup pretty well. Whoa... Didn't see that front-end swap coming! After having the engine bored and stroked from 88ci to 103ci with Screamin' Eagle heads and S&S EZ-start gear-driven cams, 43mm Mikuni, SuperTrapp exhaust, ("only" 89 hp, but 113 ft-lbs of torque) and then adding full floating Brembo rotors, emulaters and Racetech springs and braided steel lines up front, plus Ohlins rear shocks, I have a $12k bike that surprises a few folks. The exhaust is kinda hot on the legs though. Totally digging this new Low Rider S....mmm, 110 cubes.
