Title: Looking for a detailed "How To" replace fork springs on S2R1000
Post by: superkain on May 12, 2016, 06:07:33 AM
So I looked through the forum, and found lots of talk about this, but haven't found a good walkthrough that tells me what pitfalls and challenges I might find, and what tools if any I will need.

I'm looking to replace the fork springs with some Traxxion springs, and hoping someone has a link to a good walkthrough!

2008 S2R1000, all stock as far as I know.

How big are you? Because if your a small guy with small hands and not a natural tech guy, your going to need to buy a special tool to remove the spring. Unless you are planning on removing your springs for service, or doing this on multiple bikes, it would be easier to pay someone to do it. just my 2 cents.

Good advice. I'm pretty tech savvy. Done this on an old Honda cruiser, and my sv650, but those were much less intricate forks, it appears.  I'm going to ask the local guy what he'll charge to get this done. :)
