Hello all, I've looked everywhere, and I see it mentioned in other threads even walk throughs in replacing the rear shock, but I see nothing noting what to actually do with the hoses.
There are two hoses, one comes from the crank case I believe, the other comes from the fuel tank? I believe both are just for venting vapor.. When replacing the rear shock ( I am upgrading my rear shock from the stock to a 999 shock, so I need to remove the canister, do I cap these off? Do I leave them open? I never ride in the rain, but I'd rather not have to worry about anything leeching back through them into the crankcase (which is downward).
Any advice would be splendid!

The one from the crankcase needs to be vented. Most put a filter. some vendors sell a "kit" that consists of one of those push in filter things.
The one from under the fuel tank goes to the airbox. it needs to be capped off as it allows air in on the wrong side of the air filter.
Deleting the breather tank isn't ideal, but usually not a big deal on these Monsters.
This kit plugs the air box where the breather tank vents into and the filter should be mounted ~high up on the crank case breather hose - to allow some expansion and minimize the chances of oil spill/vapor in front of the rear tire.
Combine it with a simple bracket for the regulator.
