Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: duccarlos on May 22, 2016, 05:11:09 AM Jorghey is lucky that the Honda has no traction out of corners. If it wasn't for the wheelie... Horrible start for Looney Jose. He had the pace.
Tough day for Vale. He would have eventually passed the douche. What is up with Yamaha losing 2 engines in a day? Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: ducpainter on May 22, 2016, 05:14:52 AM It would be interesting knowing how close the two motors were in miles.

Great come back for Ianone. They should have kept him Ducati for next year. I never root for MM93 but today I did as I dislike JLo. But I must say that JLo fought off hard and clenched it somehow. Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: HotIce on May 22, 2016, 06:59:53 AM D.A.M.N.! [bang]

Can't help but think how much better it would have been if Rossi's motor hadn't popped. I think half the field overshot T1 on lap 2! Looked like Baz got jacked up in the T1 crash. I thought MM had pulled a rabbit out on his last pass, but that wheelie on the run to the flag killed it. Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: ducpainter on May 22, 2016, 08:27:05 AM That was a really entertaining race! You should watch moto3. :o<snip> Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: Speeddog on May 22, 2016, 09:11:37 AM You should watch moto3. :o No doubt! From Mat Oxley's twitter: It was Jorge's 3rd engine that popped in WUP, a bit premature compared to the first two engines he had in play. It *appears* that it was Rossi's 3rd engine as well, but can't say for sure. (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjEtZCOUYAAaNDA.jpg:large) (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjEtM8nUUAAa_tI.jpg:large) But it did, for sure, put Rossi in a big hole in the championship run. Given the way the fight has been going, it's not insurmountable. But, both of the boys in blue losing an engine could be a bad omen. Gonna be a grind for the boys in Hamamatsu. Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: thought on May 22, 2016, 10:01:38 AM Can't remember the last time one of the Japanese factory teams had a engine pop... Have to feel bad for Rossi. He had the pace. It was only a matter of time and he would have passed J-Lo and the celebration would have been endless. Good job by Crazy Joe. 220+mph, fastest speed record in motogp. To bad about the clutch slip start. Qualifying was interesting. It felt like Iannone was poking J-Lo with a stick? The last lap was intense. It was a case of who to root for, which is the lessor of the two d-bags? Side note: did you guys see the commercial for Arch Motorcycles? Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: The Architect on May 22, 2016, 05:15:45 PM Moto3 is like a roller derby! What a race!

The standings list on the left side of screen couldn't keep up with the position changes at some points. I can't imagine how crazy t must be to be in the middle of that pack.

http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2016/Jun/160602a.htm (http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2016/Jun/160602a.htm) And I missed the best part on my first read: "After the technical problems in Mugello the two defective engines were returned to YMC for investigation." A most curious choice of words, given that it's a Press Release, and one I would suspect required ten different signatures from top floor offices. Reminds me of F1. "Yes, we did not finish due to an electronics problem when the conrod sliced the ECU into three pieces " That Desmo valve gear must look quite sweet to the Boys in Blue right about now. ;D Title: Re: MUGELLO MOTOGP Post by: koko64 on June 02, 2016, 01:01:30 PM ;D
