Title: 97 M900 - BRAKE ROTORS
Post by: greenohawk69 on June 18, 2016, 12:05:50 PM
Hi - 97 M900 with front "semi-floating" rotors...that don't really seem to float.  Is there a way to take them apart and make them closing to floating rotors?  Is it doable/advisable?  Asking as I've watched a few youtube videos where this was done on other bikes.  Part of the reason is I am painting the carrier part and thought it would also be easier to paint unattached vs. taping everything off.

You can buy replacement buttons that turn them into real floaters.

Or the good ole' BFG hammer trick, which I will not take responsibility for.

Thanks for the link. Thought about the BFG hammer, but figured I'd ruin them.
