Title: Hello from Manhattan, NYC
Post by: EricJF on July 01, 2016, 05:09:56 PM
Greetings,

Name: Eric Friedman
Location: Chelsea
Bikes: None yet.
How long you've been riding: Got my license 20 years ago (I'm 45 now) but didn't ride meaningfully after the road test except for a 250cc scooter at a beach house.  Now I'm taking motorcycle parking lot and on-road handling lessons to get comfortable riding in NYC.

My friend has an '04 Monster 800 he loves, and I love the fit when I sit on his and the new 821 in the showroom.  I'm shopping for a new or used Monster as my first bike, but with a conservative approach to experience-building before trying more challenging drives.

Just do it, you won't regret it. I rode for about 10 years and then stopped for 5 or so when kids, marriage and job etc. needed to take precedence. At 42 I'm back out there and riding + enjoying it more than ever.

It's never too late, and il Monstro is the tool for the job!
