Of the three advertised for sale here, one sold (1992) at around $15000, one (1992) is advertised at $18500 and a yellow '95 model with hi comp pistons and FCR 39s is advertised at $11000. Sorry I had to sell mine but glad a good friend was able to buy it. Gosh they're beautiful.
What do they go for in your part of the world?
He's asking $14.5 for this 94

You know how folks are. They believe the money invested translates to the selling price. ;) probably worth $7k
He should be shot [bang]
There were some nice SL900s and FEs.
Good lord that pricing is akin to a$$ rape...

$7K *American* dollars?!? I'm thinking Mexican pesos...
If you're going to go "custom", at least ditch the OEM wheels! Geez... That's like CustomBike101 right there...
Looks like it had stock carbs too.
Wait... Nevermind...
I can see from the photos that it has already been put out to pasture. [laugh]
A 92 model advertised for $18500 just sold.

There'd be far less Ducatis in the states if we had to pay what you guys do. ;)
Last I saw here was 5900 Euro.

Still more than I'd want to shell out for one, but that's only 14K American.

Sure would. Hey we're committed though! Lol!
I might be selling mine - and $14K American would be nice -
There's one in Texas that has been showing up on eBay - no bids at $12K starting price - so It go relisted at $15K ??

That's what happens when someone smokes a lot of crack.
They list something at an outrageous high price, nobody buys, so they relist it higher.
Three for sale down here. Two new ones going for 15k and 16k and the yellow one is still there now down to 10k. The yellow has FCR39s, hi comp pistons, DP ignition boxes and a staintune full spaghetti system. I have a customer considering it.
SL MKI
$5000-10,000 depending on condition.
MKII 5000-7000
MKIII 5000-7000
FE -4000-7000
Lots of outliers but the prices are all over the place. Plenty of people have bikes sitting in a dusty garage slowly rotting. I bought my FE for $3500 a few years back. Forks were leaking and it had some cracked plastic, but was otherwise 100% original. Now it's probably worth double that.
Id love an FE.

Very nice. In reality my best chance is to get a 91-93 Supersport on classic plates and run it with solo seat and upswept pipes.
I may finally get to build a short manifold 900 one day.

Must be the Super-
Duperlight right there... He's missing a rear caliper mounting bolt.
He needs some light-weight wheels on that one. [evil]

Man, you are disturbed... lol
i wouldn't have noticed that from the pic!
Forget lightweight wheels, he has the swiss cheese rotors --- the heaviest of the lot.
all the SL/FE bikes came with iron rotors too.

After having my own bike shop for years, you wouldn't believe how fast my eyes spot that sh*t.
I've had it save my [bacon] and my customers many-a-time. That literally took me less than a second.
I can believe it in person, but in the photo?
weird.

Gonna part-out the stock wheels on my '04 Monster as 'Antique Superlight Wheels' for $4K and use the profit to put mags on the Monster ;D
Mabe not through the whole run, but this is a Superlight 900 wheel:

Those Marvics are a wonder of their time, but have issues with the metal going soft at the mount points.
I saw these brembos converted to look like the Marvic -- look almost the same and much safer.. :-)

Yep. I had to swap to heavy Brembos after mine were so buggered and unrepairable. Ducati ceased using those composite wheels after the first year of Superlights. Maybe because of issues on a road bike or maybe because of cost. The hub and spokes were mag so corrosion could be an issue while the bolt holes in the beautiful lightweight rim could round out due to issues with the bolts loosening off or even shearing.
Those polished rims look a good cosmetic option. I would fit fancy forged alloy wheels if weight saving was my goal.
I've a pair of brembos that I'll polish one day. I love that look.

Yep, once the anodizing wears through they are like butter. Honda did much better durability wise with those ugly Comstars.
