Title: Modding back to stock Post by: Wanwo on July 18, 2008, 04:51:27 PM Is this a new strain of the modding disease?
I black powdercoated and painted a good number of parts, including the engine covers, rear sets, belt and sprocket covers but now I've stripped just about all of it back to stock. Had a headwinds headlamp. Now back to the original. I don't know what it is. Maybe the advent of the next generation monster has me nostalgic already for the first generation's look. Anyone else done this reverse modding? Title: Re: Modding back to stock Post by: stopintime on July 19, 2008, 10:27:37 AM You're not serious? Kidding, right? ??? ???

I have to admit I did get the old indicators out to look at them, and laid out the old exhaust system and thought ... no, this really is crazy.
You know when people restore old bikes from 40 or 50 years ago they are usually trying to get them back to looking as original as possible. So in 40 years I guess people will be trying to make stock monsters. Title: Re: Modding back to stock Post by: teddy037.2 on July 19, 2008, 05:22:26 PM true, but our bikes aren't old yet... ;)
