Title: Swap S2R800 in 1100 EVO
Post by: BuckA on July 22, 2016, 07:18:46 AM
Hi guys.
I need some advice.
I swap my engine on Monster S2R800 2005 in Monster 1100 EVO 2012 engine. And make custom exhaust. Also i think to change injectors on 280.4.023.1A from 1100 evo.
What do you think about ecu? What ecu will be better for me? I don't want change electric wiring if it posible.

The cam teeth are different on the EVO from the 800.

Your ECU options are:
EVO ECU (Siemens?) - Wiring involved to adapt to S2R chassis
800 ECU - Magneti Marelli with custom map (stopintime linked it)
Standalone with Ducati wiring (e.g. Nemesis)
Standalone with custom wiring (e.g. Microsquirt)

It all depends on your wallet size and skill set or willingness to dive into the deep end. :D

Sticking with the MM ECU, you also have to swap the layshaft gear under the left side cover. The custom map part comes because the cam sensors are in different locations... I think that caused HeMan's tuner no end of trouble.
