Title: Hi beam terrible on M620?
Post by: kpdiamond on August 01, 2016, 01:23:55 PM
Hey Gang,

I have an 02 M620.  The high beam is terrible. Like less light than the low beam.
But if I ride with the low beam on and then hold the passing flasher for a little...I have very good lighting. (like I would normally expect from a high beam)

I understand that the low goes off when the high goes on...right

I think the lamp is aimed OK.  Could I be missing something?  Like put the bulb in upside down?!?!

Or is this just how it is on the Monsters from this era?

The bulb is an upgraded PIAA H4

If I adjust my light for the low beam to illuminate the road far ahead (~40 meter?) the high beam will almost not hit the ground at all.

Is the glass "hazzy"? If it is, take headlamp down and clean inside of glass   . . .

As per Ducati "1mt in height per 10mts distance from wall" .... since this is hard to achive,  I do 0.50mts height at 5mts distance" . . .
