Title: Hello from N Idaho Post by: Wiltrek on August 17, 2016, 10:27:11 AM I'm new to this forum, I have a 2007 695. My first bike was a 1966 Ducati Monza 250, and I loved it. I have a basket case 71 450 bevel drive desmo engine waiting to be resurrected into a street cafe. I like the Monster though it's a little small for me 6'4 270, My wife considers it hers as I have numerous bikes. I have been riding since the 60's and belong to the Iron Butt asso. Level 2 is 1500 miles in 36 hours, I did 1774 in 34 hrs. High speed run!

Be great to see that 450 project. [thumbsup] Maybe a Monster S4 would fit you better, at 5'8" and 200 I found it quite roomy compared to the air cooled bikes. The aircooled Monsters are quite compact even for a short guy like me. Maybe even consider a Multistrada1100. Thats some hard riding. Cheers. |
