Title: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: Düb Lüv on August 27, 2016, 05:37:11 PM As I was making my daily rounds on eBay. I noticed I very different swingarm on his auction for a shock. The seller is i guess the owner of used to be BCM. Lots of high dollar unobtainium parts for sale. I didn't even want to ask a price since the floating carbon brake setups asking price was $3750.00 and a regular aluminum monster swingarm is $1195.00.
I asked. What swingarm is on your monster? It's very interesting. He replied. It's a custom billet swingarm designed and built by a machine shop that makes Penske Shocks for formula one teams. It was 100 pound block that was machined for about 170 hours. It's crazy cool. Not many people notice it (http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x251/seusssandm/9A504958-91A9-4F3A-8E5F-5BB48105276F.png) (http://s181.photobucket.com/user/seusssandm/media/9A504958-91A9-4F3A-8E5F-5BB48105276F.png.html) (http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x251/seusssandm/71A5D8BF-CBC6-4D20-AF09-7A460FD536D1.png) (http://s181.photobucket.com/user/seusssandm/media/71A5D8BF-CBC6-4D20-AF09-7A460FD536D1.png.html) (http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x251/seusssandm/126696F1-4312-4DD0-A864-4B7D3B504C5E.png) (http://s181.photobucket.com/user/seusssandm/media/126696F1-4312-4DD0-A864-4B7D3B504C5E.png.html) (http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x251/seusssandm/814F1463-9907-4161-B189-EC9926C08839.png) (http://s181.photobucket.com/user/seusssandm/media/814F1463-9907-4161-B189-EC9926C08839.png.html) Title: Re: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: koko64 on August 27, 2016, 05:43:15 PM Wow.

If your serious ask a price for his. He's parting his monster out. Everything's for sale from my understanding. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152157616440 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/152157616440) Title: Re: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: Düb Lüv on August 27, 2016, 06:47:30 PM I'm such a noob. Definitely worth the re-post!! [laugh] Title: Re: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: Nibor on August 28, 2016, 02:50:56 AM I'm such a noob. But some crazy prices for everything to match, including used OEM components for probably near new price! Good luck to him! Title: Re: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: ducpainter on August 29, 2016, 05:48:07 PM I saw the thing in raw aluminum years ago.
Looks like he had it anodized, or coated since. The same shop made some billet side covers too. Out of my price range. Title: Re: Billet swingarm for early monsters Post by: Wzed on August 31, 2016, 01:31:39 PM That use to be featured on BCM's website; I was waiting and waiting for them to start selling them, but it was only ever a picture. It's a very nice piece, but I'd be a little worried using it; if it cracks and you go down, no one's going to take responsibility for it, and insurance might not payout. I've replaced just about every part of my bike, but the lawyer in me prevents changing the swingarm or frame.
