Aleix might want to reconsider mouthing off to Webb...whether he's right or wrong.
He slowed down in the race line, then moved away to head to the pit, instead of slowing down out of the race line.
Whether or not it was intentional, does not really matter if the one behind is trying to push a lap.

I can only assume he was pissed at being visited by someone about a golden child complaint.
I just wish it was MM being visited. Or do I really, that settling down a little is better. This season is a cracker so far.

Do the math...
when Aleix fills the grandstands Mike will go see Valentino to tell him to calm down.

I'd say it every time too, if I did what they do for a living. ;)
Beats digging ditches, as Doohan used to say.
Jack Ass isn't going to race. Too much pain.
Up and down year there.
Didn't see that coming, although all the participants knew Dani had the pace.
Pedrosa-Rossi-Lorenzo
Dani pretty much dominated the second half of the race. He just needs every remaining race to be in the desert and he'll be just fine
He was rewarded by his soft front tire choice.
Apparently there was an argument between VR and JLo, about VR pass to JLo ;D

LOL! "Excuse me, I seem to be a little faster than you, do you mind if I pass?"
Nice job by Dani, he made it look easy.
Too bad Iannone wasn't there.
Pedro did the same kind of block pass to the Golden Boy. Makes 'em pick up the bike as they arc in back to the apex, but the passer occupies that space. Hard but fair nowdays, but was once considered bad form unless everyone knew the rider's hated each other which made it understandable (e.g. Schwantz/Rainey). If you go wide at all you cop this move. The sport has evolved. It's as much stealing the line as a pass. MM is very good at it but brutal. Pedro is doing it now, because he has to and has adapted which is good for him to come out of his shell. VR always has been able to do it but very smoothly with finesse. People don't like it because they get baulked. I can't imagine what it's like at the pro level of speed.
It makes you unpopular in club racing. ;D
Good race by Dani.
So who will win the next race to make it 9 different winners in succession.
Needs to rain and then Petrux or Redding have a chance....

I agree with what you say, but I thought Dani's pass was much harder. Both riders went wide.
The last line provokes a question though...
is it a club...or is it racing. [evil]
It ain't club racing and it ain't a popularity contest. Get the make the beast with two backs' outta my way! ;)

Exactly. It's the Apex of the sport.
It's nice to see Pedro give some back as he used to appear intimidated.

Yeah I used to do it in the Club and Interclub rounds when I was young and aggressive (I'm gentle now). Boy did people get upset [laugh]. Seemed a gentle sport after what I came out of.

Pedrosa reeled in 3.3 sec in 14 laps while passing MM, JLo and Rossi.
Thats a crusher.

[evil]....Rossi showing signs of age...refuses to let a disliked 'young punk' (JLo) talk over him, he can't remember specific incidents - just that they happened, and races much better in hot weather ;D

Man... 2017 is going to have a really hard time beating 2016 in terms of great races. That said, I thought 2015 was going to be impossible to beat too.
"Pedrosa reeled in 3.3 sec in 14 laps while passing MM, JLo and Rossi."
Possibly the best race of his career from that perspective.
I am not sure how Honda would have taken it, hadn't he able to pass VR as well.

Had the same issue with the poor Sic at Estoril, which laughed as VR did (which in turn upset JLo):

Interesting that Dani was sporting no wings, all other factory riders had aplenty
Hmmm, and he ran the soft front tyre without overheating it. He is also the lightest rider. Put those together and he could utilize the soft front and ride to his style on the bike. Just a theory.

NO load from wings . . . tyre doesn't bear? all that extra "weight" so stays cooler . . . Just a theory . . .

This year, Michele Pirro has finished more races than Iannone.
