Heylo everyone!
I've got an 821 Monster. May be fresh with it being a 2015, but I've got 15k miles on it.
A few weeks back, my high beams stopped working, which I chocked up to a blown filament.
A couple days ago, my driving lights went off, and I could no longer neglect a replacement, as I do like to get around at night.
I replaced the bulb, but poop all. High beam indicator flashes when you try to hit high beams, and nada for standard driving lights.
Manually connected the bulbs to a battery, and both high and low beams were working, and the low beams on my old bulb was as well (but the high beams did indeed burn out).
I checked the fuse, which was solid. And I can't imagine it has to do with the wiring harness as the parking/running lights are working just fine (little LED lights on the sides of the headlight).
Any ideas as to what's going on? [bang]
Thanks!

The answer is you have no voltage going to the bulb. ;D
It could be a switch, a relay, or a broken wire/bad connection.
Do you have a voltmeter?
Hiya!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I don't yet have a volt meter, but was planning on getting one soon.
It's my intentions to test the incoming wires and hope they have the juice, and there's something wrong inside the headlight rather than to the battery...
Going the right way?
Starting at the end and working back isn't a bad way to do it.
You can download a wiring diagram from Ducati. You should do that. It's at the back of the owner's manual.

I got the volt meter and checked the wiring to the headlight.
It does seem that the low beam connection is faulty in the headlight.
I received readings for both the pilot light, and high beam (which goes along with my high beam busting on the bulb itself).
I checked that the bulb attachment was working, as I was getting a reading on the back of the bulb connector.
So it seems like the issue is with the wiring inside the headlight.
I took the headlight off the bike, but I can't figure out how to get inside to wiring. It seems there's a weather seal around between the two pieces. There are a few dimples around the edges which look like they may snap the two pieces together, but it didn't feel like they were meant to be undone when attempting to pry them open.
Any ideas?
I have no clue. Never saw an 821 headlight.
