I got a little anxious putting the jet carrier bolt back onto my Mikuni BDST 38 CV carb for my 1997 M900 and it snapped off. Fortunately it is removed without further problems but now I need to find a replacement - any ideas where I can get one? It has a 6mm head and is hollow. Thanks!
Sudco?
Unfortunately not. I stumbled upon Flemmington Yamaha out of NJ and ordered the part. I am hopeful it's the right one... I will be much more careful this time...
Some Yammie model did use the same carb. All Mikuni parts are cheaper from them than any other source.
Don't know why it didn't click before. [bang]
Thanks Ducpainter. I'd like to replace my + and - leads from my battery. Who do you recommend for parts older than 2001 which seems to be the new cutoff for most online sites.
Thanks!
If I was looking for something that wasn't easy to find online, I'd contact Jeff at Monsterparts.
He'll likely know where to find it. You 'could' make those cables yourself.
If you are stuck, Powerbarn or JetsRus may have that carb part or know where to get it. Hopefully your Yammy dealer has it.
Thanks Koko64. I hope to get a confirmation for my order today.
