Title: New Owner questions Temp gauge Post by: revhrd on October 22, 2016, 06:23:08 AM I acquired an '03 ducati monster about a year ago. A seemingly ignorant question is about the gauge display for the temp of the engine. According to the manual it should read HI or LO but all I see regardless of riding time is --- next to the little termometer icon on the right cluster. Is that normal?

No dice, though... If it's meant to say something then it needs to be replaced. I just wanted to make sure before I try to get one.

When my connector is loose it shows the same ---- as yours, but it could be the sensor too, I suppose.... Title: Re: New Owner questions Temp gauge Post by: Howie on October 22, 2016, 11:20:29 AM Take the connector off the sensor and attach it to something that has some resistance, such as a test light that uses an incandescent bulb, then to ground. With the key on if you see either a number, high or low displayed it is the sensor. If you still see dashes it is a wiring or gauge problem.
