OK .............. let the project begin.
Supposedly ran last Fall.
When you turn the key I hear the fuel pump whir, gauges sweep & settle, headlight works on high & low beam, horn works.
I don't hear the pronounced relay click like I hear on my 888 & 907.
Hit the starter and it cranks, a little slow, but battery was fully charged last night.
Pulled a plug and I get a spark when cranking & grounding against the cylinder.
All fuses replaced w/new this AM.
Gas in the tank.
Any ideas why no BOOM?
After fully charging the battery have it load tested. Fully charged does not mean good. In the meanwhile you could try a jump from your car battery (car not running).
Did you verify the lines to the throttle bodies from the tank are connected correctly?
The feed hose was identified with a plastic band with the letter M. That's the one that goes to the injectors. There should be a label on the tank bottom identifying which is which.

I tested my relay and found out it was not working. Bought new and problem was solved.
I might be wrong, but if the pump is priming I don't believe there is an electrical issue.
ducpainter -- under tank hoses are correct. M in the rear & R in the front
All fuel lines attached properly inside the tank?
Did you load test the battery? Re-check battery connections (e.g. grounded)?
speeddog -- checking in-tank setup today after it gets a bit warmer
greenohawk69 -- I've tried both the battery in the bike & a spare that I keep on a tender on my workbench for testing purposes
greenohawk69 -- just tried the relay test in the above video, thanks BTW, and both relays passed both tests....dammit!!
It's ALIVE!!
The lines in the tank were all screwed up and now that they are correct the main M & R lines are leaking so all new lines will go on all around.
Typically, the external lines don't deteriorate rapidly. It could just be loose clamps.
If you decide to replace, you don't need submersible line. Standard high pressure FI hose will do it.
