Title: 2007 s4rs headlight issue
Post by: Spitfire76 on April 25, 2017, 03:49:47 PM
Have a weird one here. My headlight stopped working out of nowhere. The headlight is not on when the bike is on and when I flip the main switch to brights it does not work either. However. When i use the flasher button on the front of the controls the brights do come on but not when I turn them on with the main toggle on top of the controls. Any ideas?

More than likely it is a problem with the switch or a pin at the connector.  Follow the wiring from the switch to the connector.  Disconnect the connector.  Get out your ohmmeter.  At the switch side on low you should have continuity between yellow/blue and white.  On high between yellow/blue and yellow black.  If the switch is the problem you can try cleaning it.  Keep in mid there are springs inside.

Checked wires and connection s and seem fine. Now. I do have an integrated rear signal taillight module. I just checked and rear light is not on when bike is on either. Only signals and break work in rear. Should taillight be on all the time as well. I thought it should be as well but never checked and don't know if Ducati is different for some reason ( this is my first duc). Maybe something awry in this module.

Yes, tail should be lit when the key is on.
