Title: tail chop kit for the 696 (Really, no choping involved) Post by: BomberHead on July 21, 2008, 09:46:46 AM so duke made these bikes with the intent of having the ability to remove the tail without cutting anything. i assume. because to the best of my knowledge this is the first monster that allows you to do so. but have you seen the price of the kit they have? its about $250 usd. its almost like they are begging someone to make an after market one pronto. and i tell you what. the first person that actually does make one for the 696 for about $100 will get a sale from me. (cookie?)
that being said. does anyone have a 696 with the tail eliminator on it? pics? i think im going out to the carport and see what it might take to do this myself. it could require a trip to home depot later. Even include an LED plate light. Unfortunately we have so many back orders these didn't begin to cover it. Hopefully the supply will improve later this year!
