Trying to find out what size the oil drain plug would be? I know it's a 5mm hex bit to remove it...but I'm trying to go aftermarket magnetic type and the ones I've found are either 12mm or 22mm. Which one is it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Straight from my "m1100 evo" factory service manual. I dont dont know if M1100 had a different drain plug bolt but I cant imagine that it did.
Oil drain plug with magnet
M12x1.5
20 NM Torque Spec
18 - Min Torque
22 - Max Torque

I'm asking about the following, these are the two that I'm confused about getting for my bike: http://motowheels.com/i-7774722-corse-dynamics-magnetic-ducati-oil-drain-plug-v2-12mm.html (http://motowheels.com/i-7774722-corse-dynamics-magnetic-ducati-oil-drain-plug-v2-12mm.html)

I'm not sure which one I need so whom ever can help solve the mystery would be of great help!!
The 12mm plug takes the 5mm allen key wrench. The 22mm takes a 10mm allen key wrench iirc.
A retrograde step imo from the solid 22mm old style plug.
M12x1.5 means 12mm.
If you click on details, motowheels notes fitment for a bunch of models. Worst case, call them
its the smaller one for an 09 1100.
Agreed the short one is for the 1100 motors. This plug saves me from having to drop my full exhaust when I do an oil change.
Check out bellissimoto, they carry TPO brand of the same part. I have both brands of parts on my bikes but I prefer the TPO parts slightly over the corse part.
