I've been thinking about remapping the ECU on the bike I just bought, doing research and trying to figure out the steps because just about everything I've read has been very unclear as to what should be done when. There doesn't seem to be any step by step instructions in plain English on what to use and how to use it. Downloaded two maps for the S4RS Testa from this website http://www.tuneecu.com/Ducati_Tune_list.html and they both are hex files. GuzziDiag (or the writer companion soft) will only work with bin files. So I figure hey I have to translate it. I get TuneECU and try to load it in and it says the file is unsupported or corrupt. Doh! Now I understand why it costs $450 from Motowheels to get these reflashed. I'm actually very good with both computers and machines but the knowledge is apparently kept hidden and the explanations that I have been able to find are all very unclear. I just want to reflash an ECU. Does anybody have any insight? I have already been to the thread in tutorials on it, and it's only helpful up to a certain point. Again, the hex file thing. Anyone?
Are you using TuneECU on an Android device?
The website tells me the Ducati maps are only compatible with the Android version.

AHA! I didn't manage to glean that from the website. Perhaps I'm just stupid. I'm on iOS for my phone and Win for my computers. So I have no chance at using the maps unless there is a reliable way to convert hex to bin that will not corrupt the data.

Buy a cheap android tracfone. They have a reconditioned smartphone for $30.
I just tried a hex-to-bin converter... you have to geek out on a higher level than I am willing to do at the moment. Way easier to spend $45 ($30 tracfone, $13 for the app, $2 to round off for sales tax.)
Their website is pretty terrible. I think you can be forgiven for missing something.
Yeah I'll figure something out I'm sure, eventually. Thanks for the info.
