Title: OptiMATE Lithium 4s and standard lead acid batteries Post by: booger on June 02, 2017, 12:32:51 PM Will the OptiMATE Lithium 4s work with normal lead acid batteries as well or is it something that will only work with lithiums? Reasons I am asking are 1) I have a Nitecore flashlight battery charger that will charge all battery chemistries, NiCd, NiMh, LiPo, LiFe etc. it has circuitry that detects which is which and operates accordingly 2) I'm on a newish GS GT12B-4 (whatever that is, cheapo Yuasa clone?) that came with the bike that appears to work fine, showing 12.6V ignition off, but I *might* want to explore using a Shorai or similar lightweight lithium moto battery at some point. It would be a drag to have to buy another dedicated OptiMATE to work with the lithium chemistry so I'd rather just buy the lithium charger right off the bat. They are supposed to be the best of the trickle charger/maintainers and they ain't cheap. Thanks
