As above, looking to fit a splash guard as I live up a gravel road and finding it hard to get a replacement. Most people take them off and sell them for next to nothing or bin them! vs, paying a fortune for a new one...
I would be closely comparing pics of the swingarm of each model looking for any difference in mounting brackets. Maybe the official website has some good pics or you could visit the dealer to measure the mounting points.
There are aftermarket iirc Shiftec has one for the monster
Ok, thanks Koko, I think they are quite different and thanks also Jason I will check that out...
the pinch bolts that it mounts to on the multi are on the top of the eccentric, on the monster the pinch bolts are on the bottom.
Thanks Captain, I have sussed it out now and will just go for a guard ext from under the seat. I cant be arsed spending that much money for so little plastic...The Monster guard in fact has completely seperate mounting bolts, it does not use the pinch bolts like the Multi.
Ebay has some. You can search "monster 1200" and see more goodies aside from the mud guard
