Post by: Pinion on August 08, 2017, 05:39:36 AM
aside from trying to jamb an 01 fi motor inro a 95 carby frame, are the monster throttle bodies different from the monster, or is it just the rubber boot coming off the manifold. also, are the earlt fi frames different on the interior cross bracing.
Thanks in advance.

Monster & SS throttle bodies are identical.

Manifolds (throttle body to head) are identical.

Frame...  Well, there's the sticky-wicket.  The carbed bikes ran a straight bar (above front motor mount bolt about 4") from L to R.  The EFI bikes ran a curved bar to clear the horizontal throttle body.  I know this b/c I converted a '99 M750 to EFI.  yay.  It was a joyous discovery late one night as I *thought* I was close to being finished.
