Title: Clutch lever for S2R 800 Post by: ltnuke on July 21, 2008, 08:07:27 PM My friends S2R 800 sunk into the pavement and tipped over on a hot day this weekend. The clutch lever busted. I am having a really difficult time figuring out where I can buy a replacement. I don't need the exact part, just a black one that works.
Anybody know where I can get this? Help would definitely be appreciated. Or if the local dealer doesnt have one on hand. monsterparts.com has them for $25 adjustable too.

"install note- no provision for clutch switch on 03+ bikes" What does this mean? I emailed monsterparts about it but I haven't heard anything back. Can I buy this part for a s2r 800 and have it work correctly or do I need something else? Thanks!!! "The clutch switch on there allows the bike to be started with it in gear, with the clutch pulled in. Without this switch, the bike has to be in neutral to start. Most of the time when you are starting the bike up, you will have it in neutral any way, but if you stall it while you are riding (like taking off from a stoplight), you would have to put it in neutral to re-start it." Title: Re: Clutch lever for S2R 800 Post by: Slide Panda on July 23, 2008, 06:31:35 AM Yeah. Basically all you need is some way to depress the micro switch that's part of the interlock system. For CRG levers they sell a little bit of bent sheet that one attaches to the lever to do that job.
