Title: Will these forks fit a 2005 620 Dark?
Post by: The ModFather on August 27, 2017, 05:51:34 PM
Wondering if these 2007 S2R 1000 Showa forks will fit a 2005 620 Dark. Anyone know?

Yes, but first I would investigate what those money could get me in custom mods to the 620 fork.

agreed .. for me the selling point is the adjustable suspension in black but it's a bit pricey for me at that price point. It's not a need it's a want.

I have anodized two sets of fork tubes and painted/powdercoated fork bottoms, so I understand the black side of 'want'  8)

Adjustable is nice, but the effect preload has on progressive springs is usually limited. Compression and rebound maybe more and all in all better than yours anyway.

Maybe they will knock a little off the price if you don't get the lower triple and axle.... Also, the anodizing looks a little faded/purple - photo problem (?) and/or another price lowering argument...

+1. The colour is more purple compared to the black of the fork lowers.
