Looks like the 7,
Better than the 6.

Nice Camera, Fast Chip, Good Sound. So far I'm pleased.

Bought the 6splus right before the 7 came out.  Damn.   128gb and at the price I paid for it, if i had waited, i could probably have afforded the X now.  Oh well.   Mind you that was a move from iPhone4 for me so I am still happy with it and will keep it until it dies.    The only big factor that makes me wish i waited a bit is the water resistance feature on 7 and afterwards.   The good thing is I am on a fellow riders plan and only pay now $20 a month since i don't really use his data plan - that is the only reason i upgraded  :-)

Having had the thing for a week or so now I find that the Battery does in fact last all day with battery to spare. Of course being the 8 plus Vs the regular 6 it has the larger size going for it ie: a bigger battery.

It wireless charges. Pretty cool there, tried it out at a public charge kiosk, but I don't have one at home yet.

The feel is smooth and glassy both front & back.

It makes “more-better” sound from the speakers than 6

Having the larger screen size means I can see more with my old man eyes and thus use it like a mini iPad much more often than I could with the old phone. This larger screen feature is enhanced even more by actually wearing my reading glasses instead of holding it at arms length.

IOS 11. Many major improvements here, and just that topic deserves a different thread. I'll just say that the new hardware compliments the new OS.

I bought 64GB which is the smallest storage now. I basically have all my stuff on here with about 60% of the available space left over. The previous phone had only 16 GB. Storage had to be managed somewhat carefully.

These things have truly become pocket computers at this point. I foresee the time, probably in the next 2 or 3 years when you can just walk in to your office and the “pocket computer” will auto connect with the keyboard, tackpad/mouse, monitor, and printer and double as a work computer for many people.

One bit of insight into the iPhone X that can be gleaned from the 8, is the A11 chip they share. Did I mention that it was fast? When you get one in your hands you'll know. They claim the 6 core chip can do 600 Billion operations a second.

Is there a side-by-side comparison between the 8 and the X out there? My 6's screen cracked a few months ago and I'll be looking to replace it soon. Not sure the X is worth the extra $$$

Thank you! Based on that article, I don't think the X is worth it.

Yeah not worth it. Plus the X is too big IMO. i went back to the regular size when I bought a 7. Same with the 8.

Wife and I did the same. Unfortunately not right at midnight so ours will be ready early December, not this week.

Looked at my friends the other day. Barely larger then the 8 as  you said. As soon as they get rid of the gap in the screen up top I'll get one.  :)

I've had mine for about a week now. I had a mophie charging case on my 6 and it's about the same size length and width, obviously much thinner though. The no home button thing has a short learning curve, but otherwise no issues. battery life is very much improved. Face ID is super fast. Camera is amazing.

Overall, I like it.
