Title: Kickstand bypass
Post by: slowpoke13 on July 21, 2008, 11:57:28 PM
Ok, I ordered the kickstand bypass and the installation was damn simple. Problem is, there's no change in operation. Engine dies when kickstand is lowered ad won't start with it down in Neutral or in gear with the clutch in or anything.

Here's a couple pics of it in place:
Kickstand (http://web.mac.com/scottrodriguez/iWeb/Scott%27s%20Life/Misc_files/080722_1645%7E01.jpg)
Left Side "3 plug" harness (http://web.mac.com/scottrodriguez/iWeb/Scott%27s%20Life/Misc_files/080722_1646%7E01.jpg)
Right side "neutral" plug (http://web.mac.com/scottrodriguez/iWeb/Scott%27s%20Life/Misc_files/080722_1646%7E02.jpg)

Also notice the installed temp gauge. I really like it. Plus, it's in Co. So, it fits with the rest of the bike. lol.

If those don't work. Here's a link to the page hosting them.

Slight update....

With some disconnection and reconnection, I can now get it to turn over once (one revolution) with the kickstand down and in neutral. But, won't start or even keep going. Every time I push the button, I get one revolution.

Most likely the connection to the neutral switch or a connection at the diode is not good.
