Hi all,
I have of late not been receiving any email notifications for for replies to topics.
I have checked my profile email address, turned down the spam filter on my isp supplier and no change! ???
I recieved one new topic notification this week and that is all.
So what do you think is wrong???

I have also noticed when I first load up the board the profile button is not showing, the new post tab on each thread(in blue) is missing until I post something. I have posted new topics a couple of days ago and still nothing. One thread I started had 12 replies, nothing!
Email is so boring these days.

The board software is an open source free to use deal. None of us designed it
Nothing was modified except for adding videos, the tiny portal add on that gives us our enhanced sidebar navigation, and the 'skin' which gives us our look.
I get my topic notifications, and no one else
seems to be having an issue, which leads me to believe it's something on your end.
The notifications come from my yahoo mail acct. Does your spam filter have provision for exceptions?
If so I suggest you add nh_painteratyahoo.com to the safe list. (address slightly modified)
Let me know.

Sometimes what happens is people will dismiss emails as "spam" instead of deleting it (cause they're lazy), then the from address (in this case ours) gets placed on a spam list. I am starting to have these same problems as well. I first noticed it yesterday morning when I was trying to see if a local ride was happening. There were several posts in my local sub-forum that I did not receive any emails about. I checked my profile, and it is set up to send email alerts, but it says at the bottom that I am not receiving any email notifications at this time. Anyway, time passes and I start to receiving the emails as normal last night, but have found myself back in the same position. No email notifications at all. Any idea?
I also am now plagued by this.
And yes, I tried shutting off email notification, saving, then switching it back on.
Didn't help. . .

This trouble has returned.
It resolved itself eventually last time- nothing I did seemed to fix the issue.
Any ideas?

Maybe try cleaning out some of the old dead threads you're subscribed to?

I think notifications might actually be busted.
OK, tried the clear out and post/sub from two different pcs and a tablet and nothing.

Yeah...It appears that topic notifications is busted. PM notifications seem to be working.
The times threads are posted is wonky too.
I'll come up with a plan to see if we can get things squared away.
It won't happen overnight.
Well, at least it's not just me then. I feel a bit better given my love/hate relationship with the technology I own.
Fix it when you can. I'm starting to like the "show unread posts" button.

I've always gotten notifications from PM's, other than a short period after the recently attempted migration.
I don't receive notifications from topics or boards, and they do appear on the "notifications and e-mail' page of my profile.

I just got two notifications from TOSAT, so that's working for me on 'topics'.
That's the only one I've got selected.

I just got one for the for sale board, so I think that things might be back.
The only thing is is I didn't really 'change' anything. The SMTP mail I tried to set up didn't work so I went back to the old php mail with a new admin mail addy and things seem to be working.
I dunno...these things are smarter than me.
So I got SMTP mail to work. I'm receiving notifications on topics and pms...not sure about boards.

You might have to go visit them again to reset the "unread posts" parameter... like when normally receiving notifications, you only get one until you visit the thread.
Some of mine were stuck for a little while until I did that.

If you have your profile configured to turn on notifications when you post, it will do that. It will not notify you of your own posts.
Checking your profile...you have 188 pages of notifications. I'd unsubscribe to them all and then resubscribe to the ones that you still will post in...
or put the new admin addy in your safe list and see what happens.
