FP4 is on and MM just made a ridiculous save. Not a clue how he pulled that one off.

That was a BIG save. MotoGP site shows the vid for free. Worth checking it out before they put a price on it.

Thanks kopf! By the time I looked at MotoGP.com, I couldn't see it!

Ripper save indeed. Just dug the knee further and further in to keep it up.

I noted that the slider was twisted so the other knee padding took the scrape.

Also, you can see the thigh being pulled further open, or MM doing that himself as needed.

I could feel my right groin groaning just watching it! 😩😩

I wonder how sore he is?

You know what you gotta do, and it’s for the team, but it can’t feel good.

Well, it didn’t come down to the call. Jorge almost went down, great slow mo shot of him leaving a red line on the track from his puck.

Entertaining race. Jorge looked strong on the bike today. Dovi’s still treading water.  ;)

Well, it didn’t come down to the call. Jorge almost went down, great slow my shot of him leaving a red line on the track from his puck.

He was told to change his engine map. That was the prearranged team order. Dovi wasn't really close enough until the map change.

Then he nearly lost it whilst trying to allow Dovi through! Was certainly convincing though.

I feel sorry for Jorge, but the championship is on the line. He'll be much better next year. The fact that he until today couldn't be a wingman, makes Dovi's wins that much better. 👍🏻

If Marky crashes at Valencia and Dovi wins then Lorenzos big save at Sepang saved the championship, (but I wouldnt bet on it) ;D

I never liked Jorge but I'm starting to come around.  [laugh]

Anyone know why Dovi went wingless today?  Tire heat/wear?

Go Dovi!!

He’s never really liked the wing fairing. He only uses it when the track requires a lot of front end feel

Not sure why he would not always use it if indeed it means better front wheel feel.

Faster front tire degradation? Just a guess.

Jorghey’s riding style revolves around loading the front. This is why he has not ridden without it since it  premiered. My speculation is that Dovi squares off the corner instead of Jorghey’s rounding it. At least this is what I remember.

The new aero fairing also reduces top end speed by about 10 kph.

You'reghey can accept that because of his higher corner speed style. Carlos is correct about Dovi pointing and shooting. The Duc has become a kind of a point and shoot bike because of its' lack of front feel.

So Jorge has found something at the middle to end of the year as he's lead multiple races, particularly wet races, but fades about of a 1/3 of the way in. I would assume that's based on tire wear which is being expedited by the wings.  Double edged sword.

In the earlier stages of the race, I noticed that Dovi was the only one of the front runners that was intentionally riding outside of the drier race line.  Perhaps it was to avoid the spray, but I have a feeling it was his veteran knowledge and patience to keep his tires cooler for the later part of the race, where it counts.  It also exhibits his bike control and ability to ride anywhere on the track, compared to Jorge, who is only comfortable riding the quali-lap line...
