we have a parts wanted and parts for sale, what about a trade section.
I have a ton of parts and need parts, would love to trade.
any opinions on this

Use the parts wanted section, because that's what you want. You just want to pay with other parts. Post pics/location of what you have to trade.

Since the board doesn't get involved with payment, there won't be strict requirements about the pics. You just have a better chance of attracting someone's bling eye.

Buyer beware!

I'm also going to move this thread to board suggestions...it's a good one.

I think that sounds like a good way to go, using that format the parts wanted section.

When you have a need, post up in Wanted, and ask what the other person wants in trade.

If you want to trim your inventory, use the Parts for Sale, with all the requirements. That doesn't preclude you making a trade deal with another member instead of exchanging cash. It just means you have to post a price.

It's worked fairly well this way for 8 years.
